The Home is registered with SCIWIS For The Regulation of Care, for Nursing, Residential Elderly Long Stay, Short Stay, Convalescent, and Respite care.

The accommodation at Ailsa comprises 38 single rooms, all with ensuite facilities. 18 of the rooms are contained within a few purpose built extension and have the benefit of en suite shower rooms. the rooms are bright, spacious and pleasantly furnished, with open outlooks over well maintained gardens.

Residents are encouraged to bring personal effects to create a more homely atmosphere. There is a large main day room, and a spacious dining room.
